We do this by creating opportunities for persons of all ages to share time, conversation, values and fun together. We encourage young people to learn from senior generations, and to benefit from their experience, wisdom and knowledge.

1st Annual G2G Essay Contest a Great Success

    On May 4, the Family Service Association of Wyoming Valley, Generation 2 Generation, and the Times Leader hosted an award ceremony for an essay contest entitled “What I most Verna WLearned from my Parents or Grandparents.” The event was held at the First Presbyterian Church, Wilkes-Barre, and had over 120 people in attendance.

    The primary objective of the contest was to reinforce the importance of positive parenting/grandparenting. Without question, the entire contest was a success. We received over 1,200 entries in 5 categories (Elementary, Middle School, High School, College and Adult).
